Who We Are

Hello friends, my name is Dennis Coad and I was born in 1953 in Cherry Valley Arkansas.

I want to share my vision that the Holy Spirit has laid on my heart: I got saved when I was sixteen in a small Baptist church, but I was not a good Christian then.  My life was out of control and it was four years ago when the Lord touched me in a mighty way and it changed my life.

Four years ago after I was baptized in the Holy Spirit He started waking me up around 4:30 in the morning and He put on my heart to draw homeless camps; how the cabins should be built, and the layout of the land.

Therefore, I spent many hours drawing what He laid on my heart.  So for a few years I didn’t do much with it. I studied it and imaged it (but at the same time I was thinking: “How could God use someone like me”)

Then about 8 months ago the Holy Spirit started waking me up again around 4:30 and laid on my heart to build an eight-foot cross. So one morning I just said “Okay” and went to the shop, dusted off my saw, went to the barn and found some 2 x 6 cedar boards. I built it and  asked the Lord: “What next?” I heard: “Take it to Commercial Street.

At that time I didn’t know anything about Commercial Street in Springfield but I found out it was where some of the homeless people hang out.  I asked the Lord: “What am I going to do with it on Commercial Street?” He said: “Carry the cross and when they look at it they will see Jesus.

So I did and the first woman I came to said to me: “Why are you walking with that cross?” I said: “What do you think of when you see this cross?” and she said, “Jesus” I said, “Okay then.

We then began to disciple her and her family and she began coming to church with her kids and now she is a member of our church.

So I had no idea what I was getting into at this time.  But God was going to start showing me more.

I was told by a few prophets that my anointing was in healing. I already knew what my authority was here on earth so I started laying hands on the homeless and about 90 percent were healed. My wife and I was seeing people healed and saved down Commercial Street with the cross.

This started May 2011 and right now it is February 2012 we are still seeing people healed and saved. We have prayed over many drug addicts and have seen the spirit of addiction leave them. We are just going out there on the street and telling people how good God is and that he is not mad at them.

We are not out there to judge them or condemn them for what they are doing we are there to give them hope and love and to let the light of Jesus shine.

When we go, we pray for family restoration and we see it happen all the time.

We are now taking the homeless to church and we are feeding around 75-100 homeless a week.

Becky and I are going to the woods and finding the homeless people. Most are so beaten down they can’t even look you in the eye.

Again we are there to lift them up and CrossWalk Journey Ministry sponsors make all this happen. The Lord has supplied through donations to supply any need they have.

I can see now that the Holy Spirit has got his plan in motion because He is putting all the right people in our path to make this all happen and it is all coming together smoothly.

But all this time I haven’t been able to keep my mind off the homeless camps the Holy Spirit put on my heart. He has been showing me how a Veteran homeless camp should be run.

It is amazing some of the things He has been showing me.  I am not going to tell my whole vision at this time but the land needs to be many acres, and needs to have fields for farming, hills, and woods.

We will be able to supply 70 percent of our food there and get our energy from the sun, after it is up and the camp will be run by the homeless veterans. There is going to be so much pride and hope in this community.

There will be many cabins there, I say cabins, but it could be shelters. The average size will be 12’ x 12’ and most of them will be built like earth-bermed homes (partially underground). But there will be many more different kinds of homes than this.

The Holy Spirit showed me it is going to be such an awesome idea and will work so well that it will go from town to town, city to city and state to state.

God Bless you and thank you for letting me share my vision with you.
